Description
Twin Lakes State Park is located about 5 miles north of Rockwell City in Calhoun County, Iowa. The park encompasses two large day use areas on the East and West side of North Twin Lake. The East, or main area, includes two picnic shelters. One shelter is a large CCC constructed shelter with a maximum occupancy of 75 people and the other is a smaller shelter that is open on all sides. The East Area also includes a modern restroom facility, playground, swimming beach and access to a paved bike trail that encircles North Twin Lake. The West Area is smaller and includes a small picnic shelter, playground, and swimming beach.

Lake Activities
North Twin Lake is a 453 acre natural lake. There is no boat motor size restriction for this lake. There are two public, hard surfaced boat ramps located along the South shoreline; across from Twin Lakes Marina, and the East shoreline; near the outlet structure. Major fish species for this lake include: bluegill, crappie, channel catfish, walleye, and yellow bass.

Picnicking/Shelters
All the picnic shelters are primitive (no amenities) and available on a first come/first serve basis at no fee. There are no reserveable facilities at this park.
Camping
All areas of Twin Lakes State Park are day use only, no camping is available.
Reservations must be made 7 Day(s) ahead of arrival and can be made up to 12 Month(s) in advance.
